Why ?

If you are using some of the non public remote-shell.net services, you may want to store our self signed root certificate in your OS, so that browsers are happy with the https sites

On Android:

  • Open your phone’s Settings app.
  • Tap Security then Encryption & credentials.
  • Tap Install a certificate.
  • Tap CA Certificate
  • Identify yourself
  • Tap where you saved the certificate ( probably in the downloads )
  • Tap the file. (If needed, enter the key store password. Tap OK.)
  • Tap OK.

On Mac OS:

  • Download the remote-shell root certificate here
  • Open up Keychain Access by searching it on Spotlight (clicking the Magnifying glass located on the upper right corner).
  • Select File > Import Items. Navigate to the file downloaded. Select System as “Destination Keychain” if asked ( older macos will not ask )
  • Enter password if prompted
  • On some older Mac OS version you also need to do the following:

    • Expand the Trust section
    • Under When using this certificate select Always Trust.
  • Log out to take effect and relog.
